Last Day of Summer

… and what a day it turned out to be! The above is last night’s pink sunset. It felt as even the actual air was pink.

Today was glorious, except for the fact that the fog wouldn’t really give up on the downtown area. I was standing up on a hill here, in nice, warm sunshine, taking this picture:

Only the outline of cruise ship Norwegian Dawn is visible. There are two more cruise ships in this picture, but they’re enveloped in fog.

Here is a little closer look at the Norwegian Dawn:

As I was walking in Rockwood Park later, I was thinking β€œif only Summer could be like this all the time, I’d get back to loving it again”. 24ΒΊC, hardly any humidity at all … a little wind — just pleasant warmth in moderation.

Nice video, more please! It’s been so pleasant here recently, temps in the high to mid eighties! No more 100+

Thank you! I did that for fun … shot out the car window πŸ™‚

That must be so nice for you, that it has cooled down somewhat …

Teehee! Yeah … we get several of those Norwegian ships, sometimes it’s Norwegian Gem, and she’s decorated accordingly with lots of gems on her πŸ™‚

I love your views, as I surely mentioned before. Yesterday I gave up and after freezing for days on end, I started the heating season even before the first day of autumn. Indian summer is my favourite season, but it doesn’t look like there will be any this year here.

Today was just as wonderful. I’m SO enjoying these days, after having suffered through Summer. Overnight, I even turned the fan on, on the lowest, to allow for the cold air to circulate in the bedroom and I slept like the proverbial log! Mmmmm ! πŸ™‚

My heating is currently on full blast and I’m still coldish. I wonder what I’ll do when it actually starts freezing. I probably won’t leave the house.

I’ve a love/hate relationship with this time of year… Love that it’s not as hot and muggy anymore; but hate that it means that summer is ending, the trees will soon be bare and winter is fast approaching):):

Summers were nice, I couldn’t wait for them to start. We didn’t suffer the same amounts of humidity in general, and I think I suffer much more now, that I’m older.

    Lovely pinky/purple photo Rebby!
We had fog here also. The temps have stabilized at around 18-20 Celsius during the day & 12-14 C @ night….I wish it was always like this during ‘good’ weather also!!

That’s my version of a perfect summer too – 24/25C no humidity. We had one like that a few summers ago and all the sun bunnies cried about what a terrible summer it was. I LOVED it.
