There’s a font called Comic Sans Serif, or rather Comic Sans MS. It was released in 1994 by Microsoft and they stated it’s proved very popular amongst a wide variety of people. That’s funny, because I’ve never seen so many people agree on anything ever, but that Comic Sans should be ‘banned’ or something to that effect.
It’s even web-safe. Meaning, of the very few fonts that are safe for the Web, Comic Sans is one of them.
I have all kinds of fancy fonts on my computer. If I were to write up a web page or a blog in Gill Sans (one of my favourites), it wouldn’t show because you don’t have it installed on your computer. Or maybe you do if you have a Mac. The only grievance I have about Gill Sans is the digit 1.
In GMail, you have a small selection of fonts, but wouldn’t you know; Comic Sans is one of them.
Now, that you’ve read a whole blog post in Comic Sans … how do you feel? How much do you hate it? 🙂
Apparently, it wasn’t as web safe as I stated. Comic Sans didn’t show on my husband’s Android tablet, so I took a screen shot of the post instead.
