WP Weekly ~ Future [100/365]

Future mallards, for this week’s Weekly Photo in WordPress. Yesterday, when the challenge came up, I started browsing the contributions. I saw lots of children, which inspired me to put up these guys. My own, favourite duckling photo, I’ve used so many times here in the blog, but one more time can’t hurt:

  1. I absolutely love the ducklings! They look so cute, sitting together like that. Looks as if they are all huddling together for warmth, or maybe they are doing so because they enjoy each other’s company. Beautiful capture, well spotted πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you! πŸ™‚ I was so happy to have spotted them. Outside the frame, far to the left, the mother duck was sitting, on the same hose.

        1. Yeah! I’ve had chickadees sitting on my fingers, but then you just feel the talons (or whatever it’s called). Still, it’s amazing … such trust!

        2. You would think so, wouldn’t you?
We had Mallards when I was a youngster, and they are so incredibly soft and delicate but, if you actually do pick them up, the poor little darlings are SO terrified and peep so pitifully for their Mommas that you feel incredibly guilty for causing such pain… ):

    1. Thanks πŸ™‚ I always liked mallards, because of their green heads, but when I got the camera, and started shooting photos … then I totally fell in love with all waterfowl.

  2. ROFL>>>I just squealed aloud with delight & scared Dharth Henry out of his fur, hahahaha!!!
