The Changing Seasons: January 2016 [23/365]

This year, I’m taking part in Cardinal Guzman’s «The Changing Seasons 2016». One gallery, or a single photo at the end of each month. Here you can read about the rules.

I took mine yesterday, in Rockwood Park. That’s where all my pictures for this challenge will be shot. Please, click on a picture to bring them up to size.

  1. The creatures of nature you have there are stunning! So are your photos of them. Do you have a special lens or do you just zoom in to get these close pictures?

    1. Thank you! We’re so fortunate, to have this big, huge park just a few minutes away. I just zoom in … the lens is my goto; 18-200mm

        1. Yes, and I’ve only seen this little corner of it. It fully dawned on me, how immense this country is, when they told me you’d get 4 times France into the province of Quebec.

  2. Love your recorded “conversations” here, Bekah… Tippy-Toe fawn and bold Raven with their dubious (meal?); Reddy Squirrel, almost too fat for his own fur coat; the Birds in their almost-mating-time feathered-finery: not just the obviously-bejewelled Drakes in emerald and sapphire, but the curvy-smooth Hens in a symphony of glossy brown curves and the more formal-attire of Cheerful Chickadee (“Hey Sweetie!”) and those lucky people enjoying a glorious Winter Interlude, out (fishing?) on the oft-travelled ice… Thank you for being there, for seeing and sharing it with us

    1. Thank you, Deb, for this beautifully worded comment! The wind was really biting that day, so I couldn’t stay for long. Today’s looking more promising, with only -8ºC and hardly any wind at all. We shall see … 🙂

  3. What a lovely view of your country. It looks like a very delicate and gentle place. I love the deer and bird spending time together.

    1. LOL they were just there … for the longest time! I stood there, waiting for the Raven to take off, so I could get the little deer alone in a frame. Eventually he did, and his beak was really LOADED with whatever they’d put out there 🙂
