new outfit

Tassitus is sporting a brand new theme: Button. «A stylish, lighthearted theme for crafters, hobbyists, and creatives» of which I am none. But … as Hemingway said:

We are all apprentices in a craft where no one ever becomes a master.

I’m not master of anything, but I know a little about many things, and that is comforting. The theme is cute so I’ll keep it for now.

No photos have been taken lately. It goes in cycles for me … the inspiration, that is. That’s alright too. Instead I’ve been playing around in PhotoShop a lot in the evenings, creating little things, like this:

It’s a nice pastime instead of just gazing at Facebook or reading news.

Hope all is well in the blogsphere!

I popped this theme up yesterday for a look, it didn’t suit me. Looks good here, nice BG choice. I may steal it! 😉

Oh that is a lovely theme you have with the Roses….looks a bit like some note cards I have here!
Sorry I have not been around as much. Between Siddhartha Henry’s problems & me being so sick…..
At least we are both on the mend. My Fatigue is large tho’ so I am not up to potential yet.

I really should make some changes on my blog too, it looks kind of boring lol

Also you inspire me to TRY and make something with my PSP…. been a long time.

I used to do a lot of glossy stuff, but this one is long and complicated … took probably half an hour to complete …

                    1. daydreamer2011

Wow! Sound too complicated for me lol. Also I do not have PhotoShop so…

No, and it would be difficult [at least for me] to “translate” it … there are certain things that are really different … gradients, for example.

Thank you! 🙂 It was fun, and it felt … rewarding when I was finished. Now I’ve downloaded and saved that tutorial, so I’m sure I have it! It’s not something you can learn to do by heart. Was happy to see that the web site was still up. Quite often they’re gone, when you go through old bookmarks.

                    2. daydreamer2011

You are most welcome!! You did a fab job! Yes so true… many of them “old sites” are gone… And I did lose many of my old bookmarks as well when my old computer died. I do have a few tutorials on paper that I printed out many years afo 🙂

Been there! Nowadays I make sure they’re synced in the cloud [Google Bookmarks], so at least that’s a good thing. When I saved that site, I got it as a .PDF! Great stuff! I still haven’t all figured out about this computer after almost two years! LOL

                    4. daydreamer2011

LOL!! Well I won’t even go there…. 😛 Cause you know how I am lol It takes a looong time for me to learn tech stuff! ( Just thinking of my camera for example lol )

                    5. Rebekah M Post author

Well, with one Gmail account … then it’s easy, but Yahoo probably has something similar. Haven’t been there in ages.

I only know the absolute basics of the camera. It’s as if I don’t have that real urge to go any further with all the technicalities of it — I just want to take pictures 🙂

                    6. daydreamer2011

I have both Gmail and yahoo. Must admit I haven’t checked out them so much, I mean more than just checking emails lol

And yes I also just wan to take pictures! Just wish I were a LITTLE better on knowing how to change settings when it is too bright or too dark. 🙂

Well my friend speaking of too dark lol, it’s really late and I will say natti natti!!

          1. daydreamer2011

I’ll try to do something soon as well with my PSP, but will need to do it in the morning or daytime not now lol, My brain is not working at this hour LOL

          1. daydreamer2011

Still got some old tutorials left from the good ole days but I don’t think they would work in the new PSP…. but will give it a try and make SOMETHING at least lol

Even if they aren’t exactly the same, usually one can find a work-around somehow. Strangely, the one I did worked to the point!

  4. Nylabluesmum

Better than ‘a poke in the eye with a stick’!!! LOL.
The Heavens just opened up & it is pouring out & a certain ‘kittyboy’ is out in Condo under his blanket in his cat cave….most cats would come in but NOOOOO not Dharth Henry…what a kittyboy!!!!

    1. Rebekah M Post author

What a guy! Fine weather here … McDuff is in his favourite banana box, here beside my desk 🙂 He’s resting …

      1. Nylabluesmum

Apparently Dharth Henry is meditiating in the rain? I asked him if he wants to come in but he said ‘NO!”. If he gets splashed he will change his mind……..
I am glad weather is good there; our day was lovely…have no idea where this rain came from…..
Hope it is sunny by Monday so the Siding guys can finish the siding itself already…..

  5. Nylabluesmum

    Funny? Crazy?? Completely mad? LOL……
It was VERY windy here yesterday & knocked hydro out for hours ( we were ok) but up the Pennisula it was wild I heard!

    1. Rebekah M Post author

Wow … I heard the weatherman mentioning something about the winds, but I was paying full attention … It’s really nippy!

  6. Nylabluesmum

Me neither so when the Micro-Burst happened & the winds picked up I sure took notice! Dharth Henry was out in Condo when that happened! I could not get him in fast enough…he was a bit damp, lol….
From now on I am watching Weather Channel with morning coffee do I KNOW what is going on… long a they are accurate… 😉

Thank you, Linda … Yes it’s good — social media in particular. The news, I just can’t stay away from 🙂

Really pretty work Reb! I love those roses. I like to be creative. I feel like I am accomplishing something rather than wasting my brain.

Thank you. Yeah, there’s something to it … I guess I just like to put colours together to my liking. All those spheres I used to make, that felt really gratifying at times.
