Just Thursday Bloghop ~ What’s your favourite time of day?

Morning! The older I get, the more I seem to turn into a morning-person. Sometimes, it’s pitch dark and pouring rain, like today … other days I get to watch a glorious sunrise! In any event … I enjoy the feeling of having a new day in front of me … like a blank sheet of paper, ready to be filled with …something good. I seem to ‘think clearer’ in the morning … I’m more present and aware of my blessings.

What is your precious time of the day? Let me know in a comment or blog about it and share a link to your post. My co-hosts, Nuvofelt and Mara, and I will be around to visit your blogs and chat with you.

NOT today

The next โ€œJust Thursdayโ€ blog hop is subsequently happening next Thursday and your host will beย me. Join any time, Thursday or not, and enjoy!

  1. That’s a lovely view! Is this taken from your window? Just curious… I like your explanation of why you like the morning, I’m so sorry I’m not a morning person myself ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  2. Glad I’m not the only one that likes the morning. But I can do ‘late’ too – if I have to. I we all meet up I’ll be there at the start, Rebekah, but still be going in the evening for you, Mara ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. When I get beyond 11PM, which is when I feel as if I could fall asleep standing up, then I could stay up all night. At least it feels like that … when I get over that hump ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I’m useless in the morning. I’m at my desk with my coffee trying to wake up to start working. I do my best thinking and have the most energy right before bedtime.

  4. Ha! Well I was up REALLY early this morning to clean up the snow from the storm that howled around the house all night; but I’m with you on the good start to the day… Been back inside for over an hour now – after shovelling, brushing snow off the car and the wood piles, and refilling the bird feeder. It’s nice to know how much I’ve already accomplished this morning and I am thoroughly enjoying my coffee while watching the Chicadees and Juncos flit about as they pick up Black Oil Seed for their breakfast.

    1. Ahh … the perks of apartment living; no shovelling/mowing. BUT the downside would be NO watching chickadees at the feeders. Here we get the gulls, coasting by, like show-offs ๐Ÿ™‚

I bet you felt very refreshed after that accomplishment! ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. It was wonderful to have rosy cheeks so early in the morning! (But we may be in for Round Two any time now, if the weather radar has anything to say about it):

      1. LOL! I didn’t feel the least bit guilty about taking a couple of very generous coffee breaks today; )
But, y’know; even in spite of that, it’s been an incrediby productive day (and I’ll sleep like the dead tonight; )

  5. I’m a night person – but during Spring and Summer I work hard on going up early. So…the result is too little sleep. I go to bed about 00 and my wake up call is about 5 a.m. Mornings are the best for bird song, sun rising, freedom in my house…everything positive. I’m so sorry I wasn’t born a morning person…

    1. This is an interesting approach! Why spring and summer? Because of the birds singing and the nature waking up in these seasons? At least you have some sleep in autumn and winter!

  6. I am definitely a morning person and for me, it’s the best part of the day.
I wake up at 5am most mornings when the tiny Fairy Wrens start their day, tweeting and flying in and out of the hedge just outside our bedroom window; add to that the raucous cacophony of Kookaburras in the trees, and I cannot wait to start my day. I love the stillness of early mornings and watching the sun come up – it’s magic!

    1. It sure is … even if it sounds quite a bit more magic in Australia LOL But waking up to the sound of little birds … priceless!

      1. You would be in your element here Rebekah, we have so many brightly coloured birds ready and waiting to be photographed!

  7. This is a great idea, Rebekah, never mind that I’m finding it this Thursday morning. If I can trust the aging brain, I’ll try to catch it on the coming Thursday!

  8. Lovely picture. I cant find anything better than an early morning in May with the birds singing and the light green trees around. I prefer the mornings, even at this time of the year. I am the first up, so I have everything for myself.

  9. I have several fave times during a day lol I used to be an evening person for sure when I were younger. Still to this day I do have a hard time to get up too early in the morning BUT it happens that I wake up and yes it is lovely to see a sunrise!

    1. Yeah, we’re a little bit of everything … I am too. Something happened when I no longer HAD to get up in the morning — guess I just wake up in a nice way, when I’m ready ๐Ÿ™‚
