change

DSC_4822-minIn certain ways it’s better to have free WordPress! One gets more limited to one theme. Here, the options are endless. I’ve looked at many today, but none of them can replace Minnow fully. I have high hopes for the default 2015 theme.

This is not what I want to write about. This is not some kind of blog about blogging. I just need to settle down … it’s still in its infancy.

I took part in the WP Weekly Photo challenge tonight. Not with this account, though.

This post got entitled ยซchangeยป … the older I get the more I seem to crave change. It’s not entirely new, I used to move home just for the sake of it. Found some apartment where I thought everything was going to be good … for life! That lasted until I found next, irresistible apartment. I shudder to think of all the banana boxes … packing, unpacking, cleaning. Now I’m not alone and we’ve been in this apartment for six years. That’s not a problem at all because I haven’t seen any building here that looks, even remotely, tempting.

  1. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I relate. In my yputh I was such a gypsy. Now I have settled. The place b4 here I lived in for 11 years & if things had not gone badly for me I would still be there. It will 8 yrs I have been in this apartment. Change is good but it can be tiring….
Love Sherri-Ellen & Siddhartha (who likes change; he’s young!)

    1. I’ve settled because I’m tired. I must accept I don’t have the same strength anymore, but I tend to forget sometimes. Six years here, it’s a personal record ๐Ÿ™‚

    2. There are certain apartments I think of with nostalgia. One, in particular … and that was the one I had my worst experiences ever, in my life! It was beautiful, though!

  2. I remember us talking about THAT apartment in one of your other blogs.
I have a fave place too: the HessKing Apts in Hamilton. So many memories…most good & of course many with Mingflower ๐Ÿ˜‰
    A long time ago….

    1. Well … we have to be thankful for the memories, I guess ๐Ÿ™‚

This apartment was a beauty, fireplace, moulding [is it called that, those ornamental, white things] in the ceilings.. The tiling in the bathroom was black! Looked quite amazing..

  3. I have more good memories than bad from my apartments there (I lived in 2 different times @ 2 seperate times).
Your place sounded like it was lovely too. Try to hold on to the good memories only…

    1. There’s one building, back home, where I’ve lived three times! At one point, I moved back into the same apartment! ๐Ÿ™‚ Loved that building… everything was so white and clean.

  4. I remember you telling me abou that place…we are so very alike! I have seen pix of my old building & it is under reconstruction AGAIN….
I hope it gets completed this time & occupied!

    1. I walked around outside there when I was home. It’s a farily new building … finished in 1990. Very nice outside now, when the trees have grown a bit, and they’d done some landscaping …

  5. That waas nice you go to ‘re-visit’…..
I saw my old place on Internet..someone has put a GLASS roof on the place…I am sure that will not last long, lol..
