happy and proud

IMG_0157Today I became the owner of a brand new Nikon D7000. It has been brewing for some time; the decision that is. Been reading, looking, and today I went for it. We shall see what it can do for my photography. My previous camera was a D90. There is a certain learning curve involved here, and that feels like a lot of fun. Came home with it in the late afternoon, so I haven’t had time to do all that much.

Just noticed that this week’s photo challenge is ยซlettersยป. Didn’t think of that when I started this post, but it strikes me now that the letters N I K O N are very meaningful to me today ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s a shot, taken with the new camera. Just a random shot of my favourite perfume [NOA], in really low light. Wanted to try it out with high ISO [3000].

  1. Nice! (Just a touch green here; )
Can’t wait to see what you do with it; and, speaking of which, what a beautiful perfume bottle:D

  2. Hi there! Your pictures have already been so impressive. Can’t wait to see more with your new toy! I often wonder why I don’t just do it and get a “good” camera. My phone never captures an image the way I want it to.

  3. Well you are really progressing
with your cameras. I would just love any if them. Still only have little point and shoot and my iPhone.

  4. Congratulations!! I still shoot with my D90, but often think about trying something new. I also secretly dream of having the D90 converted to infared (big dreams here). I hope you have an awesome time with the new camera – can’t wait to see the results! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. You’ve purchased an excellent camera. I’m a semi-pro and I’ve always thought 16-18mp is the ideal resolution; files load faster, workflow is faster. It’s a logical step up from the D90. Nikon has since released the D7100 and I have one however….I think 24mp is too much. Wish I had the 7000 back. Enjoy.
