Reading in the news about the new iOS7, that will be released to the public this Fall, realising I feel excited about it. A year ago, I couldn’t have cared less.
In July I’ve had my iPhone (4S) for one year, so I’m late in this game. I remember those endless discussions I used to browse through in Google+, about iOS vs. Android. At the time, I was in disbelief, thinking; «What the eff?! It’s a phone?!?! Now I understand … back then I didn’t have a smart phone at all, eventually I got a BlackBerry but was of course still totally out of it.
I can still recall how happy I was when I finally had it — couldn’t wait to get home and unpack it. Didn’t take long before I wanted an iPad too … I’m such a sucker for these gadgets!
My phone has been unlocked now, so I can use it with my Swedish SIM card. Here in North America, they have some kind of system so that all phones are locked to the carrier. I had a really hard time wrapping my mind around that concept when I got here. Last year, when I was home, I could only use it with wifi, and had another, little phone, for calling and texting.
I hope I’ll be able to install the new iOS, even though it’s just a 4S.
