iPhone fun

Was inspired by a post in Quotidian Hudson’s blog, grabbed my phone and went out on the balcony. I have tried this once before … when the function was just released, but then I forgot about it: the panoramic picture.

True to myself, I had no planning whatsoever — this would turn out better on a cloudy day. No matter how I turned, I got the blazing sunshine straight into the camera-eye.

The first picture is the view we have from our balcony … Saint John’s north end. The second, I went across the street and up on Fort Howe — the historic look-out point. There were strong, gusty winds … I will do this again, for sure, because it was a lot of fun. Please, click on each picture … they will open in a new tab …for full effect. I’ve resized them, in order to minimize download speed.

Great views and thank you for sharing. I am still trying to learn the camera in my Samsung…the book is thicker than the phone and I do not have the patience to read it lol…

Well, great minds Think alike! LOL

Yesterday I tried for the first time to take a panomaric Picture with my camera. Didn’t work at all! haha I feel so stupid sometimes! Not sure what I was doing wrong? Have to read the manual book again lol.

    Your Pictures look great!! 🙂

Wonderful, Rebe. I know it was a great fun… I like them both, the first one giving me your personal view from your balcony and the second one wider with balanced sky and dark blue sea – you did a great job!!!

I don’t know … now that I think about it.

In any event, it will be some time when I’m not almost blown away like last night LOL

What are you referring to … strong winds? I have a bad experience with cruise ships in my country – and its low cost-effectiveness for our tourism. Personally, I don’t see them as a bone in any photo 😉

Yes, it was really gusting last night! Especially up there …

Good point, about the cruise ships. Personally, I’d never go on one.

Each Fall, when the season is over, the city presents the numbers, and it’s a very good thing for this poverty stricken city … regardless of everything else

I’m trying to see where they would be beneficial .. for our sea which is pure and great for swimming and tourism they are just a menace – the ships pay only a fee for using the harbours, the tourists on them don’t spend anything or hardly anything as they are accommodated and fed on ship, and they just spend for an icecream or a souvenir….

Wonderful views, I really need too learn how to take pictures like that. Sometimes I miss my old camera, you know, look, press the button and hope for the best.

Wonderful views. I saw that Robert had used this function. I have to check if the iPad has this function. My gift from my daughter and son and their family for my birthday.

Hey Linda , I checked that yesterday, and the answer is no — I was a little surprised that it didn’t have the same function!

I know … the natural beauty of this place is incredible. Shame that so many young people have to leave… to go out west.

Those are great photos. You live in such a beautiful place. Once again I’ve learned something new because of you. I have an iPhone 5 and maybe it does panorama too. I’ll have to look for it. Thanks for sharing your photos.
